Hi Guys, I am starting my journey to treat my Thyroid and Cholesterol.

Before starting I want you to go through this article to get the knowledge and get back here.

Yes,there is a connection between thyroid function and cholesterol levels:

Hypothyroidism

When the thyroid doesn’t produce enough thyroid hormone, it can lead to high cholesterol levels. This is because the body can’t break down and get rid of LDL cholesterol as well. Untreated hypothyroidism can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Hyperthyroidism

When the thyroid produces too much thyroid hormone, it can lead to low cholesterol levels.

Let me introduce myself, I am in my late twenties and a food lover. To be honest I had never thought about controlling my diet but that does not mean I am overweight. I am in my ideal weight range but my body is starting to give me signals that something is going wrong.

I am just like most people who like trying new food, eating outside, and traveling. Believe me, everything will be fine at some point but as we have heard when you are about to hit your 30s or in your 30s your body changes mostly in women. As my husband says “Everyone Eat to Live but You Live to Eat” 😜. And trust me it's true but I realized it later when my parents and I went for a health checkup, I was like everything is fine in me since I was not seeing any symptoms but when the report came these two were in a very high range 😳.

The doctor sees the report and writes down the pills. Then I noticed that my weight had increased by 3 kg in 10 days and I thought it was because of the festival and I came home and had eaten a lot. It's normal for me to go home, eat, gain weight, and then come back to my office location and in a month back to normal.

Before I go to what I am going to do to treat it. Let me tell you about what symptoms you feel are normal but it can be a signal from your body.

  • Hair fall.
  • Feeling Lazy the whole day.
  • Weight gain.
  • Pimples on your face.

All these may seem normal but they may not, am not scaring you but just go for a health check every 6 months just to know the status of your body and cure before something big happens.

If you want to know how I am going to do it, please comment so that I know someone there is reading out this and I will feel more motivated to make this journey healthier and share it with you all.

Thanks for reading, will share everything including what I failed to do or what I missed, and what is getting better. Stay connected 😇
